| •Self-Locking
Cylinders(PVS/HYS) |
Pneumatic
and Hydraulic Self-Locking Cylinders employ a spring loaded
mechanical rod interrupt lock which automatically activates
at either end of cylinder stroke. As the groove-in-rod design
physically interrupts rod movement, the rod will not move
in the locked condition, while also resisting large loads
at zero psi pressure (when locked). With large holding capacity
and two standard two line porting, this system is simple
to use.
Braking
Cylinders employ an INTERNAL-TO-ROD friction brake to hold
the rod at any point along the stroke. This simple three
port unit employs a "single acting" technique, so springs
set the brake with loss of pressure to the brake port.
